Ludwig van Beethoven Music School Bonn

Living traditions - enabling participation

Founded in 1970, the Ludwig van Beethoven Music School is the central music education institution in the City of Bonn. At its five branches in Beuel-Mitte, Dransdorf, Hardtberg and Bad Godesberg, as well as with cooperation partners throughout the city, around 160 qualified teachers teach a good 4,000 children, young people and adults.

Our offer is as diverse as our students: In the core area, we offer courses for the youngest children as well as instrumental and vocal lessons - from elementary school to retirement age. In addition, we teach in the JeKiTS state program at several municipal elementary school and cooperate with Kita, open all-day facilities and secondary schools.

Making music together in numerous ensembles, regular concerts and the participation of many pupils in competitions such as "Jugend musiziert" are further important aspects of our profile.

As the music school of the City of Bonn, we are committed to the city's cultural heritage. With our range of lessons, we want to build on the musical traditions and at the same time create offerings for today's vibrant urban society.

It is particularly important to us to address new target groups with our offerings and to contribute to the equal participation of all Bonn residents in society.
