"JeKits - Jedem Kind Instrumente, Tanzen, Singen" is a cultural education program in primary and special schools in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. The educational program is funded by the state of North Rhine-Westphalia and implemented by extracurricular educational partners, including the Ludwig van Beethoven Music School in Bonn.
JeKits aims to enable children to make music together using instruments and voices and to dance together, thereby giving as many children as possible in North Rhine-Westphalia access to cultural education - regardless of their personal and socio-economic circumstances.
An important partner for the JeKits program in Bonn is Sparkasse KölnBonn, which generously supports the purchase of the necessary instruments every year. The Ludwig van Beethoven Music School is represented with the JeKits program at the following 14 elementary school in Bonn:
- Adelheidis School: focus on instruments
- Elsa-Brändström-Schule: focus on choir
- GGS Medinghoven: focus on instruments

The JeKits program spans the entire primary school years.
In addition to music lessons, all first classes receive a JeKits lesson in class. These additional music lessons are taught by a school teacher together with a teacher from the music school and are primarily intended to teach basic musical skills and introduce instruments. Currently, 900 children are being taught in this first stage of the JeKits education program - JeKits I.
From the second grade onwards, children at JeKits schools then have the opportunity to learn an instrument (focus on instruments), join the choir (focus on singing) or dance (focus on dancing) at low cost. Levels II to IV of the JeKits program are voluntary and are currently attended by 600 children.
Only children who attend the relevant schools can take part in the JeKits program. These schools inform parents about the content and scope of the JeKits program. Registrations can only be made at certain times.
