All plucked instruments consist of a body of sound on which various strings are stretched. When one or more fingers make these strings vibrate by plucking or striking them, the notes are produced - sometimes loud, sometimes soft, sometimes hard, sometimes very soft.
The family of plucked instruments is large: these instruments have been around for a very long time and have been developed in almost all cultures worldwide.
The Ludwig van Beethoven Music School mainly teaches two members of this family: The guitar, or electric guitar, and the harp.
